My name is Ricky and I am a current graduate student in the Human Development Counseling program at Vanderbilt University. Before moving to Nashville, I attended college at Ohio State University where I majored in Psychology and minored in creative writing. I spent a year serving with AmeriCorps where I worked full-time tutoring children who were working as many as 2 grade levels behind the state's standard. With my help, they improved their understanding of their school material and met their grade level standards on state tests. In my free time, I like to go hiking and ride my bicycle. I also like to write, and have aspirations to be a published author.
