I have a passion for learning and enjoy helping others meet their education goals. I have been tutoring throughout college because many of my friends sought my assistance. I mostly tutored in the pre-medical subjects including Statistics, Calculus, Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry, Biology and Physics. Additionally, as a peer advisor at Georgetown University, I was a point of contact for incoming freshmen as they transitioned to college. I also have formal tutoring experience with national companies. Lastly, I have classroom experience as a part-time Basic Life Support instructor of emergency skills such as effective CPR, AED application and choking relief to health care providers.I look forward to helping tutor you.- Kristen

I just recently graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, with a Bachelor of Engineering in the field of Aerospace Engineering. In the fall, I begin graduate courses for a Masters degree in the same subject, all the while working as a Teaching Assistant in our Engineering Fundamentals program. My tutoring experience is, although limited, in advanced subjects that appear in the third or fourth year of undergraduate level classes. This said, I believe I possess the mindset and the passion to educate students, as I have already been qualified to do this at the professional level. My favorite subjects involve a combination of math and real world sciences, most notably anything that falls under the category of physics. I am also very well versed in computational syntaxing, I have written thousands of lines of code and amiably make competition out of the process with my classmates. When I teach, I go at the students pace, never moving on if a topic isn't properly understood. I approach the issue from as many angles as practically possible, so that success is maximized. Even if a student understands a topic well, I may entertain a different perspective, to keep any potential doubt from lingering. And as always, a positive atmosphere is highly conducive to the learning environment. When I can I like to build and fix things, paint/draw, play guitar, write poetry, read novels/graphics, learn new words, watch superhero TV shows, run, and probably other things because there are so many I can't keep track of them all!I love learning and I love sharing what I have learned. I have a deep respect for education, it has the potential to empower people and transform lineages. I identify with my students because I am still a student--one of my peers, my environment, and of myself. Tutoring those in need would be the least I could do, because keeping knowledge to oneself is a terrible fault. Also, seeing the aha moment in a student's eyes fills me with an unparalleled vigor (selfishness for the greater good).

I'm a sophomore at Vanderbilt working toward a major in neuroscience with minors in chemistry and psychology. I was born and raised in Nashville, so middle Tennessee is definitely home for me. My main area of focus for tutoring is ACT Prep; however, Im proficient in many maths and sciences as well as grammar mechanics. In high school I took many ACT Prep classes and tutors. Because of my familiarity with the test, I have high confidence in my ability to drastically elevate my student's ACT scores.Outside of academia I enjoy to play tennis (Brentwood High Tennis) and exercise in general, typically weightlifting. I can draw almost every character of Spongebob and wish I could tutor specifically in that. I have a passion for science and practically all branches of STEM fields, especially neuroscience and biology. As clich as it is, and as clich as saying "as clich as it is...", education is power and can transform every aspect of one's world. For that reason, I would love the opportunity to help catalyze your learning.

I am a friendly, punctual, and reliable instructor. I find teaching to be fulfilling and compelling work. I enjoy working with people, specifically assessing the needs of the student and assignment, while teaching the underlying skills needed to complete this type of work in the future. I am a professional homework helper.I write poetry and music professionally, so I am well equipped to teach the fundamentals of creativity and the joy of words. I also graduated with highest honors from DePaul University in 2005 with a degree in relational, group, and organizational theories of communication. During this time, I learned the grammar and mechanics of language, and the various methods necessary to write essays and research papers.Since then, I've been touring the world as a professional songwriter and musician. I have a passion for writing and listening to music, films, film editing, and writing and reading poetry. In 2014, I started tutoring students in essay writing and English for an online tutoring service. I have edited thousands of papers and taught students of all ages, from kindergarten to college level. I have gained the experience to be able to quickly and efficiently teach writing methods.

I am a second year student in the Vanderbilt University School of Engineering. I am double majoring in Math and Computer Science and minoring in Engineering Management. I frequently tutored my friends and peers throughout high school and continue to do so in my college courses. While in high school, I also volunteered for Higher Achievement, an Academic Enrichment program for middle school youth in D.C. During the summer session,I taught the SSAT and reading classes, acted as a teachers' assistant and tutored individual scholars. I am very passionate about STEM and advancements in the tech field. I strongly value education, something my parents instilled in me from a young age, and I hope to spread my love of learning and the doors that a strong education can open to those around me. I love all things sports and fitness and my favorite activities are biking, running and yoga.
