I am an energetic and versatile Reading and Language Arts Tutor with 7 years experience helping students improve their Reading and Writing skills in a tutoring center. My experience supporting students extends into the classroom as well. As a Special Education teacher's assistant I spent 7 years supporting students with reading, writing, math, and science activities. As I completemy degree in English, I apply my knowledge of reading and writing concepts to students in the elementary and high school grades. As a tutor and teacher's assistant I have the unique ability to see where students need support and will use various learning techniques to individualize the lesson.
I understand that tutoring can be challenging, but seeing see the students progress is rewarding!
When I have free time I enjoy learning about ancient cultures through paintings and artifacts in museums. It's a fun way to spend a cold winter's afternoon!
