I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Nada

Certified Tutor

Hi, I'm Nada! I graduated cum laude with majors in Biochemistry and Biophysics and a minor in Mathematics. Throughout my education, there have definitely been times where I had some difficulty with a concept, and that has made me a better tutor because I understand the struggle! I strongly believe that a student can tackle any problem or concept they have difficulty with; it might just require a different approach that works best for an individual's needs. I generally try to explain a concept in the simplest terms possible to make sure the student has a solid grasp before moving on to more complicated aspects of a topic. I provide plenty of practice for the student to complete on their own or with additional guidance as needed. Questions are key to the learning process. I encourage students to ask any question they might have, and I pause lessons along the way to ask the student question and check their understanding of material.
