Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Hamilton College in upstate NY and recently received my Master's degree in Physiology & Biophysics from Stony Brook University. I am a pre-med student with a Bachelor's degree in Economics with minors in Chemistry and Biology. I will be starting medical school in the fall and have experience in the application process. I enjoy providing advice and feedback to individuals who are on a similar track.

I am the oldest of 4 children, therefore I have a lot of experience with helping young students learn, as well as a lot of patience. Most recently, I worked as a STEM instructor at Launch Math and Science Centers in NYC on the Upper West Side. That experience made me realize how passionate I am about engaging students in the STEM field and education in general and how important it is to make learning a fun process. I love tutoring students in math, science, and economics because I have a strong background and foundation in these areas. I also wish that I had been introduced to the STEM and economics fields at a younger age, therefore my goal with tutoring is to inspire the students that I work with. I love tutoring in economics because I believe it provides essential concepts for any field that a student is eager to pursue. For example, I have found economics to be extremely applicable to the healthcare field, which is one of the main reasons that I chose to major in it.

In addition, I lived abroad in Morocco for 10 years and had the opportunity to help students prepare for their AP exams and applications to universities in the United States. My long-term career goals include going to medical school and becoming an Ob/gyn. I hope to someday treat women in underserved regions of the world. In the meantime, I enjoy working in my research lab, cooking, traveling, and kickboxing.
