Hi! My name is Heather and I am a former educator. I taught Middle School Social Studies for 7 years (American History, World History, Geography). From there, I transitioned to a teacher trainer for a school district. In this role I worked to plan curriculum and help teachers refine their instructional practices for K-8 students. I left public education to pursue a corporate career in educational technology. While I love my new role, I found myself missing teaching. To re-engage I began teaching Chinese students English online. Students range from ages 3-12 and I tutor and teach them foundational reading skills (phonemic awareness, fluency, comprehension), math, science and social studies.
