I'm a graduate of Texas State University having earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. My passion is helping students to gain confidence in themselves and find success on their educational journey!

I have been tutoring student K - College level for almost four years. I tutor a wide variety of subjects. My favorite subjects to teach are writing and reading. This is probably because I have a natural affinity for both. I tutor many students with learning disabilities including Dyslexia. Further, I believe that these two subjects are of the utmost importance for children to master as there are few jobs I can think of that don't include the need for both at some point.

I believe that teaching should occur in an atmosphere that encourages asking questions and real dialogue between the tutor and the student. I don't feel that teaching is a one way street with the only communication coming from the teacher.

I'm excited that with the Internet I can now connect with students from anywhere in the world at the touch of a button. My tutoring services are offered all online so that I may reach as many children as possible who need and want tutoring from an experienced tutor who can help them reach their educational goals in the best possible way. I individualize every session that particular student and none of my tutoring is ever cookie cutter.

When I'm not tutoring my students you'll typically find me spending time with my sons, ages 14 and 16, with my nose stuck in a good book or in my kitchen trying out a new recipe!
