I have taught language arts for over 20 years, have traveled all over the globe, and love working with students! I am originally from Atlanta, GA and I do have a fondness for Southern Literature. Well, actually, any kind of literature! That has been my favorite subject since I was in elementary school and it is what I truly enjoy. When I was in 9th grade, I would correct misspellings and grammar in my boyfriend's notes and then send them back to him. And no, that did not last long. So I was always destined to be a teacher.
My teaching mission as I see it, is to help students enjoy the escape and the joy that literature can bring to their lives. I also want students to discover the power of writing and expressing themselves. Learning should be an adventure,and I strive to incorporate energy and humor into anything I do.
