I am senior at Rice University majoring in Economics and Asian Studies. I have had several opportunities teaching students how to learn throughout my time in school, including starting an ESL program for recent migrants, working as a teachers aide in a Mandarin Immersion school, and teaching financial literacy to high school students in HISD. I am a friendly, easygoing and reliable student dedicated to helping students succeed. In my free time, I like to run, read books, hike, and work at our on-campus coffee shop. My favorite subject to tutor is math because I have experienced it first-hand as a universal language and one that belies the foundation of our world. That being said, I enjoy teaching all subjects and truly enjoy creating ways for students to understand subjects so it fits their learning style. I am excited to help students cement their learnings and break down any problems they come across to so they feel confident in their material.
