Certified Tutor

A recent Graduate from Temple University with a BA degree in Theater. I am currently recieving my Masters degree at New York University in Acting. My teaching style is unique and personal. It is not the same with any two students. Each person requires equal attention but very specific kinds of care. So it is a custom job every time. I ask a ton of questions and I work to getting the student to express themselves as much as possible because that is where all the interesting ideas are, in the students imagination. I do my best to learn the students taste in a variety of areas so that we can compare the practical application of homework material in the world today. The student must feel worthy in order to know that they can overcome a hurdle. So, I encourage my students often. I began tutoring at the age of 8 with my older brother and as I matriculated through school realized that I had a passion for it even though I didn't really know what "it" was, I was just helping people. In high school I was a part of a traveling group called CAPA Caravan in which we traversed the city and worked with students from kindergarten to 8th grade and taught reading comprehension, public speaking skills, writing, as well as conflict resolution skills to young people. At Temple University I became a Teaching Assistant in my last year and worked privately and in groups with any students who requested extra assistance with concepts or aspects of lessons they didn't grasp initially. Students ranged in age from young adults to seniors. I enjoy tutoring English class materials, writing, and comprehension as well as Literature, Comparative ideas and Poetry, Persuasive writing also. I am deeply commited to my passion as Actor. I enjoy wood working in a shop when I get the chance. Pets! I enjoy working out too. And I love to read and listen to spotify.
