Hola y bienvenidos!

I'm a senior Spanish major at George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon. I am also obtaining minors in sociology and history.

Spanish, history, and culture have always been passions of mine and it's my dream to be able to spread it to others! I have a lot of experience working with children as well as teens and adults. My strongest area would be with the culture and history of Spain, as I studied abroad there for a semester.

For experience, I have experience tutoring from elementary to high school students as well as working one on one and in groups with classmates who struggle in college courses. In fall of 2017, I worked as a teaching assistant at Columbus Elementary in McMinnville, Oregon. I worked in a first grade bilingual classroom, helping teach Spanish and English, both as primary and second languages. Finally, I have experience interpreting and translating for schools (parent/teacher conferences), ACCESS, and Walmart at a local level (contacting potential employees who speak Spanish).

Learning a foreign language is hard, and I speak from experience. I hope to be able to make learning easier and more fun for students!
