I am a Humanities tutor who specializes in tutoring History and English/Writing. I am passionate about instilling an appreciation for effective written communication in others.

I love to read, and I gained extensive and varied writing experience as I obtained Bachelors degrees in English and History, and a Masters degree in BiotechnologyRegulatory Affairs. Throughout my college, graduate, and professional careers, I have frequently been called upon to help students improve their writing, and to provide editing services.

I work one-on-one with students. My approach consists of informally assessing students History/Writing/English strengths and weaknesses, and providing customized plans for improving reading comprehension, memorization, grammar, and essay organization skills. I try to find creative ways of presenting concepts, and readily accept suggestions from parents and students on ways to keep students engaged in the material.

I also have extensive experience in editing student papers (literature-based essays, historical and scientific research papers, and college/graduate school application essays). Rather than simply correcting students mistakes, I give comprehensive feedback that equips students to correct the assignment at hand, and empowers them with strategies to apply to future writing assignments.

I love seeing my students improve and gain confidence in areas where they were struggling!
