My teaching philosophy is to find something that is interesting to you and relate the topic.
I like to have fun while teaching and I do that by finding something in common with the student and what they need help with so we can talk about it in a language that makes sense. Science is great because it all fits together like a puzzle. Once you can figure out how the pieces go, it will all fall into place and you get the wonderful, "ah-ha!" moment. I love seeing people get to that point and I will do whatever I can to help that happen.
I didn't know I was going to be a teacher, and if you would have told me ten years ago this is what I'd be doing, I would have laughed. However, I wouldn't change it for anything! I love spreading knowledge and getting people interested in the sciences. Science is so important and I know everyone can understand and even enjoy it if it is presented the correct way.
