I first began working as a tutor while finishing up my B.A. degree from Yale University. After graduating from Yale with honors, I studied music at Juilliard and then went to Paris as a Fulbright Scholar. The subjects I have the most experience tutoring include English, literature, math, music theory, and French. My teaching style varies according to each individual student's needs. I am extremely friendly and easy going, but rest assured, I will push you hard! My main goal is to make learning both fun and rewarding. Most of my former students have seen dramatic increases in their test scores after just a few months of weekly tutoring. Acing the SATs or any academic subject is really not as hard as it seems. It's not about cramming or devoting 8 hours of study per day. It's about learning to study efficiently and thoroughly. I will teach you these skills! When I'm not tutoring, some of my favorite hobbies include: running, skiing, windsurfing, hiking, chess, playing piano and cello, watching movies, reading novels, learning foreign languages and traveling.
