Certified Tutor

I have been a certified teacher in Arizona since 2006. My certificate is valid for first through eighth grade with middle school endorsements (6-8) in the subject areas of Language Arts, Math and Social Studies. Most of my contracted teaching experience has been with first grade. Most recently, my first grade class finished the school year testing above grade level in reading. We also doubled our grade level knowledge in Math using the Galileo online testing utilized in many Phoenix area schools and districts.
One of the best ways that I can help a child succeed is, first, to learn which level he/she is currently experiencing success in a given subject area. After learning of a student's strengths, it is much easier to determine their needs. I would then develop materials and activities that address their needs and help a child build the skills he/she needs to be successful at a higher academic level. You can be confident that I will employ many strategies to help your child become confident and successful in the content area of your selection.
