My goal with Varsity Tutors is to help students excel in Science and Math classes, improve upon exam scores, and ultimately help them achieve their academic and professional goals.

As someone who once struggled with science classes, such as biology and chemistry, I can understand the struggles students face when trying to master these concepts. Despite initially having difficulty in these classes, I graduated with my Bachelors of Science degrees in both Biology and Biochemistry with cum laude honors.

Overcoming the obstacles of mastering scientific and mathematic concepts was not one that I was able to overcome on my own. I had the help of numerous professors and tutors that were able to help my understand and apply the material properly. It all started with pinpointing the foundational concepts that I struggled with. Once we identified where my struggles stemmed from, we were able to master these foundational skills in order to build upon. I have used this teaching strategy with my own students to help them pass their classes with flying colors.

Teaching is a passion of mine. And tutoring is the most organic and authentic way to teach students. One-on-one interactions and the opportunity to tackle problems is the most effective way to help students achieve their academic goals. I hope that I can use this position to do just that. Science and Math are not easy, but they are also not impossible. Building the confidence to excel in these fields is absolutely essential to success, and I hope to help students go down this route and succeed.
