I'm a recent graduate of Northwestern University who loves finding examples of science in the world around me. I hold a degree in Materials Science & Engineering and a minor in Psychology. I believe that in math and science you need to understand what problem you are trying to solve and why you are trying to solve it, and once you can grasp the big picture, you can then focus on solving problems by focusing on the more technical aspects of it. In college we had science outreach days where we presented and explained demonstrations to students and I was a very busy tutor throughout high school and early college years. I believe in teaching students not only subject material, but also how to check their work and know it is correct and larger test taking strategies.
