Certified Tutor

Hello, my name is Venita Walton-Johnson. I am a 34 year old mother of four sons, and also a wife to my husband, Christopher, for a little over 8 years. I'm from Dallas, TX, born and raised.

I have always had a passion for Psychology, Mental Health and Developmental Psychology, since I started my college career. I was also a Certified Pharmacy Technician for 7 years (since 2009); where I worked for Walgreens (retail pharmacy) for a total of 4 years and for Medco (mail-order pharmacy) for 3 years.

I love working in the field of education. I have been a tutor, mentor and volunteer on and off since 2013, for Irving ISD and Dallas ISD. I began substitute teaching in 2013, while I completed my BA in Psychology. After undergraduate school, I took on a Lead Tutor position for in 2015-2016. I was the Lead for 3 DISD Middle Schools, where I worked as an Intervention Specialist.

Throughout the years I have gained a great amount of experience and take pride in my field as an educator. I'm excited to learn more about everybody and look forward to catering to each person individually. I look forward to this new journey with Varsity Tutors!
