I am a teacher candidate at Duquesne University working towards a B.S. in Secondary Mathematics and a B.A. in Mathematics. I chose this path for myself, and I am passionate about learning. I work hard to find the best ways in which to help you understand.

My Teaching philosophy is that we are learning from each other. Teachers learn from their students just as much as students learn from them. My goal is to help you understand the material, and I can't do that unless I learn from the student. Everyone is different and there is no shame in needing help or asking questions.

My tutoring style adapts to my students, but I typically start with finding out the needs of the student, then working with them in hands on activities. I consider learning by doing to be a good start, but if a student needs help in other areas, I will adapt the lesson plans. I am here for the students and will try my best to help them accomplish your goals.

I have a background in Mathematics and can tutor subjects from elementary maths to College maths. I also feel passionate about Reading and Literature. I have experience working with students seeking a GED, and I can help prepare for other tests.

In the end, I believe that a good teacher is not one that can give you all the answers, but one that can help you learn how to find the answer and be confident in your abilities. If we are given all the answers in life, then we never truly understand the why's and how's, and we would be unable to obtain answers on our own, making knowing the answer useless because you have not actually learned and will be unable to adapt to other situations.
