I hold a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from New Mexico State University as well as Level III-A Instructional Leader Licenses in Secondary Education and Special Education with endorsements in Health and Science. In addition, I have extensive experience in curriculum development, implementation and training within K-12 public education. For the past fifteen years I have been a secondary science classroom teacher which included not only classroom instruction but professional development for staff in the areas of special education, curriculum development, and IEP compliance. I have assisted in the development, application, and instruction of several online courses in both the K-12 setting as well as at the post-secondary level. I am very familiar with the online learning platforms used to deliver online instruction such as Moodle, Canvas, and Blackboard. I have taught in all science areas to include Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, Biology, Ecology, ACT/SAT prep, and writing courses.
