I wish to carry on the legacy of the many great teachers that equipped my mind to discern greater truth for itself by aiming to pass on my passion and love of learning to as many students as possible.
With that said, the greatest reward of my classical education has been not what I have learned but how it made me feel and where that feeling has lead me to a more complete and fulfilling existence.
Within the context of the rapidly changing modern world, many lessons of the past are being foolishly forgotten that can serve us genuine good. Among the worst of such losses is, in my opinion, the richness of our connections to each other and to our world at large. However, what is remembered upon reading the classics is that the human mind creates its own posture, for the ancients were as brilliant as us but in different ways. They lived lives with the same fears and ambitions that drive us today and the same capacity for emotion and intelligence.
If I can teach students to understand this more fully, I believe they may become better humans within our society and develop a heightened sensitivity to each other that will further their own learning
