I believe that all children can learn. All it takes is the right teaching style to reach even the most struggling learner. Patience is the key to teaching. I love helping my students reach academic success and taking ownership of their learning. I have been in the education field for over 10 years. My emphasis has been on special needs students but I have taught general education students as well. I run the Academic Intervention Services program for both ELA and Math in my school. I have worked with students as young as preschool-age all the way up to eighth grade. Currently, I am a sixth grade teacher at a charter school. My favorite subjects to teach are ELA and Writing. Poetry is my favorite form of writing. I can't wait to meet you in the classroom!
