Certified Tutor

I am pursuing a degree in English and Political Science at Tufts University. I have tutored middle school, high school, and college students in writing, public speaking, argumentation, clarinet performance, and music theory. I currently work as a high school policy debate coach and as a college parliamentary debate curriculum director. I will be a Writing Fellow at Tufts in the fall.

I am particularly passionate about tutoring in subjects related to essay writing and critical reading. This is my favorite area to tutor in because I strongly believe that everyone can benefit from writing skills. As a debate coach and writing tutor, I have seen high school students of diverse interests gain confidence and independence when they learn to express themselves more clearly. I think that the study of textual expression is much more than an English-majors-only activity - it is an essential part of learning to communicate with others and is important for any career.

Outside of academia, I enjoy competing in college parliamentary debate, playing clarinet, and reading about history and politics.
