As a tutor, I aim to take the anxiety out of learning. My job as a tutor is not only to help the student to develop new skills/strategies but to show them that they are capable of doing anything they put their mind to. In my experience, one of the main reasons that students do poorly on test or within a particular subject is disbelief. They do not believe that they can do better than where they are. So they develop a sense of self doubt which causes anxiety within that particular area. They begin to second guess their abilities ultimately confusing themselves. I am here to help students develop test taking strategies, content information, and to help them gain the confidence needed to meet their personal goals. I look forward to working with you all.
