I'm a second year medical student at the Howard University College of Medicine. I attended Stony Brook University in New York for undergraduate education, with a major in Health Sciences. For this reason, I specialize in tutoring mathematics and the sciences--both social and physical. I've acted as a mentor, teacher, teaching assistant, and tutor in the past and hope to pursue a career in academic medicine after getting my medical degree. I truly enjoy teaching and imparting wisdom onto others. My teaching approach is based on creating connections with my students and multiple intelligence theory.

I believe that people learn better when they feel like they really have a support system. My students are always fond of me and many of them have contacted me well after our tutoring was done. I make sure to incorporate proper test taking strategies, stress management skills, and aim to address all of the student's concerns. Additionally, I don't think that intelligence is defined by whether something is easily learned. Intelligence exists in several aspects of life and through work and patience, it can be improved.
