I'm Juan! I have a degree in history from CSU Sacramento and have been tutoring students for 2 years. I love helping students understand new concepts and seeing them get the confidence to succeed when they start to understand problems that were frustrating prior.

Although my degree is in history, I have experience teaching algebra, geometry, algebra II, pre-calculus as well as biology, chemistry and physics.

I've always understood math easily and was fortunate enough to have teachers that were able to teach various different methods that may be easier than the commonly taught methods. Additionally, I was taught how to really conceptualize word problems which tend to be big sources of frustration for students.

Additionally, as a History major I've learned to think critically but more importantly I have learned various methods to try to make a subject that can be perceived as boring and bring it to life.
