Certified Tutor
I am currently a freshman Mechanical Engineering student at Texas A&M. I first got into tutoring during the second semester of my junior year in high school. I was employed by Mathnasium and worked with them for a over a year. During my time with Mathnasium, I tutored students from K-12 in various concepts from basic math to pre-calculus.
In my free-time I enjoy listening to music and spending time with family and friends.

What is your teaching philosophy?
Repetition is the greatest teacher.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I would make sure they felt comfortable asking as many questions as they felt necessary.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
Many students don't make good use of their textbooks for extra help. I would show the student the best way to navigate the textbook efficiently without getting overwhelmed by the copious amounts of information.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
My favorite quote to use is "The biggest limitation to potential is doubt." With enough practice and effort, I believe almost anything can be accomplished.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
The best way to teach a student a difficult skill or concept is to expose them to it over and over. Repetition is indeed the best teacher. I would thoroughly go through the steps as many times as possible until the student becomes familiar with the concept.
