Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of the University of Rochester where I majored in Japanese Language and Culture. I put those skills to good use as an English Language Teacher in Chiba, Japan. I explored English with elementary school students, tackled speech patterns with middle school students, and taught the finer points of business English to late career professionals. I spent three years teaching in Japan, and I can unreservedly say that I have never enjoyed my work more! Other than my interest in tutoring ESL, I also love to work with students on their reading comprehension and writing. They are fundamental to teaching students to understand--and be understood--in an increasingly complex world. Outside of work my hobbies are reading, cooking, and playing badminton. I am the volunteer coach of the badminton team at Syracuse University. Let's learn together!
