Certified Tutor

I've always loved to read and write, so I attended Ohio University to study Creative Writing and American Literature. I graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in English. My professors and peers gave me critical feedback on my writing, helping me hone my editorial skills, and write clean, sharp sentences. They also introduced me to a diverse assortment of authors and poets. I continue to be inspired by literature, especially contemporary American, and am always on the lookout for a fantastic book.

In 2012, I moved to Seoul, South Korea to teach English. At the time I was considering a career in education, and this was an opportunity that allowed me to give teaching a try as well as travel the world. I loved living and working abroad because there was always a new challenge, whether it was learning the Korean language or even something as simple as finding a post office. I soon found that the more I developed my teaching skills the more I enjoyed it, which led me to stay there for nearly four years. Over the course of those four years I had a variety of teaching jobs, including positions as an elementary school teacher, a middle school teacher, and a tutor for children and adults.

Since returning from Seoul I have been pursuing my Ohio teaching certification. In my spare time I enjoy reading and writing, as well as exercising and taking photographs.
