Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of the University of Kansas where I received a Bachelor of Art in Anthropology with a concentration in Archaeology. While attending school I took the opportunity to enroll in many history classes ranging in topics from Imperial China to Ancient Egypt. My love of anthropology and history would never have been possible if I hadn't honed my reading skills. As a child I struggled with reading comprehension and if it were not for the patient guidance of the adults in my life I would not be the person I am today. I have worked with elementary students for the the past two years. From my experience, patience is the most important tool a tutor can have. Every student learns at their own pace and deserves to have a tutor who will adapt to their needs. In my spare time I like to sing loudly (not necessarily on key) to broadway musicals, make pies, and play ultimate frisbee or disk golf.
