I left my home many years ago to pursue a college education. After I finished college, I had an excellent career, and my jobs gave me the opportunity to work on very interesting projects, visit many places, work with incredible people, and live a comfortable and happy life. I think Education is one of the most important assets to have to ensure success in life. Helping people to continue and/or to excel in school has always been something I enjoy doing, and it is also a very rewarding experience.

What is your teaching philosophy?
Understand the student's learning needs, and provide them with the knowledge to overcome them.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I will try to make them feel comfortable with me and ask them how I can help them with the subject.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
I will try to improve their interest in the subject matter.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
By showing them how their knowledge of the subject matter will improve their opportunity to succeed.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
I will try a different approach.
How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?
With reading comprehension practice activities related to subjects they are interested in.
What strategies have you found to be most successful when you start to work with a student?
I give them my full attention, I show my interest in their progress, and I try to make the sessions interesting and dynamic.
How would you help a student get excited/engaged with a subject that they are struggling in?
I will try to teach them techniques to make them learn it easily. I will try to show them the use of the material in practical life (if applicable).
What techniques would you use to be sure that a student understands the material?
I will test them, and I will ask questions through all sessions.
How do you build a student's confidence in a subject?
I will make sure they understand the content so they can get good scores in the tests.
How do you evaluate a student's needs?
By asking them their strengths and weaknesses in the subject matter, and trying to find out what they score in classroom tests.
How do you adapt your tutoring to the student's needs?
I try to accommodate my method to the student's ability to learn.
What types of materials do you typically use during a tutoring session?
Board, internet, notes, articles, book references, personal experiences, etc.
