What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
Get to know my student, and establish a friendly relationship. Learn more about who they are and address their weakness in whatever the subject may be.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
Focusing on improvement, encouraging a lot of practice and reassuring them that tutoring is the best choice for them to succeed. Even a simple text message can help some students stay motivated.
What types of materials do you typically use during a tutoring session?
Videos, flashcards, worksheets, tangible objects, and whatever is needed to help the student understand clearly.
