I loved being a peer tutor while in college at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, since it was a chance to help other students with writing and foreign language studies. I love to read, write, and learn languages, so I studied journalism, international relations, and Chinese. After school, I moved to China and taught ESL to all ages as a teacher and private tutor. My classes were always designed to maximize variety and engagement so that students could not only have fun but also practice using the skills they needed. When I worked as a news editor at a radio station in China, it was my job to coach reporters on their writing and grammar. I believe that we can all master tough subjects with some practice and problem solving, and I'd love to help you achieve your academic goals!
