I am graduate of Saint Vincent College, earning a bachelor's degree in history. In 2006, I completed my master's degree in history from Duquesne University. Since that time, I have completed many jobs in the Washington D.C. region including research, writing, and historical interpretation.

As a well-respected historical tour guide for the past several years, I have worked with students (ages 9-17) from all over the country and the English-speaking world. It brings me tremendous joy to show young people around our nation's capitol - where history comes to life. Past experience has taught me that I am able to engage students on a variety of subjects, including American history, as well as our great political system that was set in motion in 1787. I also have experience tutoring elementary students on reading and comprehension.

My learning philosophy is simple: make the material relatable to each student's needs. History/government is never boring, just sometimes the people who teach it. Finding each student's passion is the first step in the learning process. Engaging that interest is the vital key for academic success.
