I am currently a Spanish teacher at a DCPS high school and have 5 years of experience teaching in DC, grades 5-12. I truly enjoying teaching, coaching, and building relationships with children and young adults. I believe in giving students opportunities to learn through real world scenarios and applications. These educational experiences must be relatable and authentic so that students can easily make connections between the content and their own lives. I am a native Spanish speaker who has traveled to other Spanish-speaking countries, and I regularly interact with Spanish speakers in my daily life. With this background, I am able to present students with authentic experiences and genuine interactions that I hope will not only help them acquire the basics of the language but also inspire them to learn to speak fluent Spanish.
