Isha: Bayonne tutor
Certified Tutor
I am a life long learner with extensive experience tutoring students in a variety of subjects: Math, foreign languages, humanities, etc. I have a Masters from Tulane University and I'm currently prepping to return to school to pursue an MBA. The ability to connect authentically is at the heart of my core skillset: I've lived in 4 continents and picked up several languages along the way. These highly social and outgoing experiences inform my global worldview and deep understanding of what sparks interest in the eyes of my students.
Resilience, confidence and intellectual curiosity can take one to amazing places. In fact, these traits have given me the ability to develop engaging tutoring sessions that incorporate information from various disciplines to help students reach their full potential in the classroom and the workplace. My approach to teaching is not to just to impart information, but to share information in such a way that will empower students to ask questions. This approach will strengthen their ability to think critically and solve challenging problems. Seeing the joy in students eyes when they finally grasp a concept is the ultimate reward.
When I'm not working I love playing tennis, traveling and exploring cool neighborhoods in the city.

What is your teaching philosophy?
My approach to education is to provide broad knowledge in a variety of topics. This helps students develop intellectual and practical skills that span all areas of study, such as communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to apply knowledge and skills in real-world settings.
