Ever since I first read 'Green Eggs and Ham' on my own, the English language has been my preferred subject of interest. From young excursions into the world of Brian Jacques' Redwall, my fascination for the written word grew into an obsession when I pursued as many English electives as I could in high school and, thereafter, a BA in English Honors at the University of British Columbia. Acceptance into my program of choice was no easy feat, nor could it have been predicted. At the beginning of my first year of university, I nearly failed my first two major essays. Newly apparent to me was that I could not survive off of passion alone. It was thanks to my then-tutor that I was able to apply myself and achieve a higher level of success. That experience has also provided me with the opportunity to translate my hard-earned lessons to those in need.
Besides my voracious appetite for reading, I am a writer of nearly ten years. In this realm, I have focused mainly on short fiction stories as well as the odd novel. In another life I also taught yoga regularly for a year, a discipline in which I learned to teach from my own experience and convey myself in front of large audiences.
