Certified Tutor
I am currently studying Architecture at the New Jersey Institute of Technology as a member of both the College of Architecture and Design and the Albert Dorman Honors College. Previously, I attended Communications High School, an all honors high school in New Jersey. During high school, I was a peer tutor in physics, math, and spanish. Outside of school I tutored several local students in middle school math. I also taught a class of first graders in my parish.
I feel that the most important part of learning is understanding. Using my experiences as both a tutor and as a student, I work with students to help them reach a high understanding of the subject material. Instead of giving a student the answer outright, I will talk the problem out with them and help them to reach the answer themselves. I know that everyone has a unique way of thinking, and for this reason I show students several ways to approach a problem so they can chose which method is best for them. My strongest subject is math, and I excelled on my standardized testing.
