Certified Tutor
I am a graduate of Whittier College, California. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science with an emphasis in Political Science. I am currently a math fellow for 9th grade students in the Denver Public School district. I enjoy working with students of all ages. I have experience working with students ages 6-17. My academic passions include science, math, political science and literature. My experience as an outdoor educator at a science school for 5th/6th has embedded a deep philosophy of experiential education to achieve student success. As a previous adventure facilitator I encourage my students to set realistic goals and together we device methods to achieve these goals in and outside of the classroom. My experience working in a laboratory coupled with my undergraduate research has created a strong foundation within the realm of science and technology.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
In the first session, I will access the student's current ability level with respect to the academic subject and learning style. Then, together, we will create goals to work towards content mastery.
