I have served as a clinical preceptor for multiple registered nurses and students in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at a large university-based hospital for over one year. My ability to communicate a vast amount of knowledge to new nurses in a seamless, succinct manner allows my colleagues to grasp and synthesize large quantities of information rapidly and efficiently.
I believe that there is a greater value in KNOWLEDGE and not just LEARNING. The ability to critically think, appreciate arguments, and utilize new approaches to knowledge acquisition and dissemination demonstrates a higher command of understanding; this is something I wish of all my students.
