Certified Tutor

The purpose of tutoring is to allow students to stand on their own feet and have the confidence to solve problems on their own. The ideal tutor must be able to listen to his/her students judiciously to identify what weaknesses must be corrected. As a tutor, I strive to tailor my sessions for each individual student and to build a rapport with him/her. I am always patient, sympathetic, and fun to get along with. I also make sure to have a full understanding of all the material I am teaching so I can lead the student down the correct road without confusion.

I believe every student is capable of mastering the material, and by asking leading questions in my sessions. I allow students to get to the correct answer using their own logic. By building this sense of accomplishment and understanding, it has always led to my students having improved test scores and performance in the classroom.
