Certified Tutor

I attended the University of Tampa to attain a Bachelor's Degree in English and Communications. I then moved on to certified teaching of ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) to students of all ages. In continued onto graduate school at Hofstra University, where I graduated with a Master's Degree in Journalism, Public Relations and Media Studies.

As aforementioned, I have worked with students of all ages on a variety of subject matter. I currently teach at an elementary school in Chuluota, FL. I have experience tutoring in areas such as reading, writing, literature and grammar and, as it is a passion of mine, I work hard to make it as enjoyable to the student as it is for myself! I love reading!

I love teaching these subject areas, along with any other challenges brought onto me. I'm sure this is due to the fact that I am passionate about continual learning. As the phrase goes, you learn something new every day! As a teacher and tutor, you begin to realize that not only are you extending your knowledge to others, but gaining insight and perspective into how to interpret things through a different opinion or view.

I am very up to date on pop culture and believe this is an incredibly important as a teacher, as correlating learning into every day entertainment is the best way to attain a student's full attention. After all, life skills are the most important to learn. Communication and relativity are the key to attain success!
