Certified Tutor

I am an NYU graduate with a BFA in Dramatic Writing (playwriting and television) and minor in English. I also recently completed my MFA in Creative Writing and Literature at Stony Brook University, where I taught at the undergraduate level. I have over ten years of experience as an SAT and SHSAT tutor, as well as years doing general Writing and English tutoring for K-12. I especially enjoy challenging my students with college-level work, and strongly believe that with the right approach, nothing is too hard to understand. Writing is my favorite subject to tutor because there is no endpoint--anyone can be a better writer. It is amazing to see some students discover their voice and personality through what they previously considered to be boring essay assignments. Outside of academia, I enjoy comic books, traveling, sketching, and acting. I also like trivia and have been a contestant on a TV game show.
