As an experienced Teacher in Pinellas county, I believe that all students have the potential to reach their dreams. Having worked with struggling students, I understand that everyone learns differently. I will work with your child to help them to learn how they learn best. I will utilize various strategies that will ensure their success. As a Reading Teacher, I have helped students improve their reading levels and increase their comprehension. As a Writing Teacher, I have given students the tools that they need to love writing, even when they didn't initially like it. My passion for History and my "encyclopedia-like" mind for world events, provides my students with a deeper understanding of history and world events. I care about my students and want to see them succeed.
I hold a BA in English, a Masters Degree in Special Education, and a second Masters Degree in Dance Education. I am working on my PhD in Educational Leadership: Curriculum and Instruction. I have taught Reading, English, Social Studies, Civics, Basic Skills, Special Education classes, Spanish, Standardized Test Preparation, Phonics, Mathematics, and Science in the public school system to students in grades 1 through 8. I have tutored students as young as four years old to adults in college. I have the experience, the understanding, and the background to help any student achieve their goals. I look forward to working with you and your student to help them reach their fullest potential.
