Certified Tutor

I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Mathematics from Fairleigh Dickinson University in May 2013. Besides achieving the highest overall GPA (3.919) for the Maxwell Becton College class of 2013, I was also a member of the math honor society of Phi Mu Epsilon. I also represented my school for both my junior and senior year at the New Jersey Undergraduate Math Competition.

I have tutored students ranging from as low as third grade all the way to seniors in high school. I was also employed by my University as a tutor from my sophomore year till I graduated where I tutored all levels of math (calculus I, II, III, etc) and physics with calculus I and II. I feel my job, as a tutor is to facilitate and not instruct the student in their pursuit of knowledge. I also believe that developing clear logical step-by-step methods of solving problems combined with repetition and practice leads to success. Finally, as a tutor I should review troubled areas by ask probing questions and have the student lead me through how they solved their problems, so I can specifically see where the student needs more attention.
