Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of West Chester University of Pennsylvania with degrees in Psychology and Literature. I have 8 years experience teaching high school English, and because of the variety of levels and students I have taught, I understand more than most how difficult it can be for a struggling student whatever the reason may be. I have tutored for the last 2 years (consistently in the summers and intermittently during the school year) in Mathematics.

I believe that tutoring to students who struggle requires first an evaluation of where they have deficiencies, then determining, if possible, why, and last, examining their personalities through observation, discussions with the students and review of past educational experiences with the parents to evaluate a system of tutoring that will be fun and promote success.
