I am a native German and I am an educator at heart.
I studied Early Childhood Education in Germany and completed my internship England as a German Teaching Assistant. I prepared students ages 14-18 for their German entrance exam and served as chaperon at their weekly extracurricular activities.
After I earned my teaching certificate from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in May 2011, I joined the staff at the German School St. Louis. I loved to enchant my 5-6 year old students and created a playful lesson plan with songs and games. As a native speaker, my knowledge of German is impeccable. I deliver a lesson with contagious enthusiasm. And maintain a structure, yet relaxed environment.
Educating children is my passion and it is my pleasure to teach students all facet about the German language.
My daughter shares my passion of hiking and swimming. We like to explore new nature trails around St. Louis and enjoy a good book. My culturally diverse circle of friends got me interested in cooking again in which I am currently experiencing with the Indian cuisine.

An individualized teaching plan is the essential in keeping students motivated.

I will conduct an assessment in order to determine the proficiency level.

Give strategies and resources.

Regular feedback and encouragement.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
Try a different venue (visual ,literal).
How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?
Have them answer a set of questions about the reading.
What strategies have you found to be most successful when you start to work with a student?
Give simple instructions. Include technology.
How would you help a student get excited/engaged with a subject that they are struggling in?
Find a topic they are interested in and built on it
What techniques would you use to be sure that a student understands the material?
Read material out loud. Study material by whiting out key words. Write it as a sample test.
How do you build a student's confidence in a subject?
Students master subjects with homework and worksheets.
How do you evaluate a student's needs?
Evaluate the student's homework and progress.
How do you adapt your tutoring to the student's needs?
His feedback and questions are key.
