Certified Tutor

I am a nursing master's student at DePaul. I graduated from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. I specialize in tutoring biology, chemistry, and ACT prep. I also tutor students in math. I have tutored students ranging from middle school to college.
Most of my students show dramatic improvements in their grades and test scores after receiving my help. I like to tailor my teaching style to the individual student because I know that everyone has a different learning personality. I get to know my students and discover the reasons they struggle. Although many of my clients do not share my passion for science and biology, I make the lessons as interesting as possible. I try to improve my clients' overall development as students, so they can be successful throughout their entire future academic careers.
When I am not in school or tutoring, I love relaxing with my family, friends, and my two German Shepherds. I like reading a good book, going for runs, and watching movies. I also really enjoy cooking and baking. I have been told by many that I make the best desserts around!
