About Me

I attended St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY and graduated May of 2012 with a Bachelors in Liberal Arts. I majored in Multi-Language (Spanish, French & Mandarin) and minored in Communications. Personally, as a language student myself, I completely understand the struggles and frustrations that come when learning a language for the first time. It can become difficult to understand or comprehend, which then causes the student to shut down making it harder to learn. As a language tutor I want to help eliminate that stress and anxiety that students go through and make it a more pleasant learning experience. Languages enable us to speak with a diverse number of people and at the same time learn a bit of the culture that comes along with it. I not only want to help others speak other languages properly but understand the meaning in which certain things are said. I have always emphasized the importance in tone because the way one thing is said in one culture may be hurtful to another with a different perspective and way of life.
