I earned Master's in Spanish at Loyola University Chicago and my B.A. in Spanish at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. I've studied in Spain and for two years I lived and worked in Peru. I enjoy teaching and tutoring, and I love speaking Spanish!In my spare time, I am very active; I run with my dog, hunt pheasants, and fish. I was a pre-medical student and received my Bachelor of Arts in Communication Theory with a focus on neurological speech disorders associated with brain injuries. Upon graduation, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to integrate my studies in communication theories and the sciences as an environmental scientist and engineer working for the power industry focused on understanding than designing engineering systems to minimize the impacts of environmental pollution on public health. I eventually received a graduate scholarship from the Society of Women's Engineers to complete my Master of Systems & Controlling Engineering degree from Case Western Reserve University.I have always been committed to helping students and started tutoring in college and throughout my career as a professional engineer and scientist before transitioning into full time teaching at the university level.I also created engineering/science/mathematics programs between NASA, Oberlin College and Case Western Reserve University for students who could work with me and or get support in their academic endeavors with my assistance.I am also a published author of several books that have focused on an historical interdisciplinary examination of environmental health inequalities in the USA and globally.
